Nine self-catering apartments in the centre of Stafford

Friars House sits in the centre of Stafford, a short walk from the railway station. Express check-in and high-speed WiFi are included, and eight of the nine apartments come with an allocated parking space.
The building was derelict when we took it on. We restored it and reopened in 2017, and it now holds nine one and two-bedroom apartments. Families, couples, business guests and people working in the area all stay here, many of them returning. The communal entrance is secure, with CCTV and staff on site daily, and once you are through your own door the apartment is entirely yours. Apartments 1, 2 and 3 are on the ground floor and are reached without stairs.
Each apartment has a living room with a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, and one or two bedrooms with a bathroom or shower room. That separation is the point of self-catering: somewhere to sit that isn't the end of a bed, a kitchen you can actually cook in, and the freedom to eat when you want rather than when a restaurant is open. Stafford's shops, market and independent food shops are a short walk away, so most guests shop and cook here rather than eating out every night. Groups and families get the space a hotel room cannot offer.
Every apartment has a 32-inch smart TV and a kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster, plus proper cookware and tableware. For longer stays there is a washing machine, iron and ironing board. Daily housekeeping and linen changes are not standard, and a scheduled service is arranged for extended stays.
